De Style was formed in May 2007 by Austin TX engineer Dwayne Barnes and Elizabeth Meador, LMT. Services we offer include FOH and Monitor Audio Engineering, PA Rental, Back Line Rental, Tour and Merchandise Management, Advancing & Tour Book Production, Hospitality Management, Licensed Massage Therapy, Transportation Management.
Like the "de Stijl" artists of the 1920's, our focus is functionality, effectiveness, and accessibility. Combining these basic philosophies with the knowledge, abilities, and positivity that Dwayne and Elizabeth possess has created a uniquely effective tour and event services company- D&E Style.
Dwayne Barnes began audio training in 1990 and holds a degree in Commercial Music Management from Austin Community College. He has built studios, installed sound systems, engineered and mixed multiple recordings including releases by Spoon, Thee Antonio Three (Japan), The Kiss Offs, and The Wontons. He has mixed live shows for countless bands in venues and festivals across the US and around the world.
Elizabeth Meador worked in the sales, service, marketing, and hospitality industries until earning her Massage Therapist License in 2001. After working briefly for a salon she began her own practice which she continues today. She is a very talented healer with training in several massage therapy modalities as well as CranioSacral, Neuro-meningeal, and energetic healing therapies. Her commitment to learning multiple techniques enables her to integrate and provide exceptionally healing therapeutic sessions. Her genuine interest in people, her natural friendliness, and her training in sales, marketing, and hospitality make her an exceptional merchandise and hospitality manager.
Since the creation of De Style, Dwayne and Elizabeth have provided tour and merchandise management, advancing and hospitality management, backline tech and management, Transportation management and engineering for Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings' 100 Days, 100 Nights tour across the US and Canada, and the subsequent festival performances and mini-tours; Antibalas tours in Europe, La Reunion, the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, and festival performances in the US; Ivan Milev's 2008 US tour; and The Budos Band in the US, Canada, and Europe.
